“Eat beef and broccoli” my personal trainer said…
Here is a recipe that is anything but boring –
tender beef, mixed with Asian flavors, stir
fried with broccoli & asparagus and topped
with sesame seeds! What a combo!
What You Need
500 g Beef rump (1/2 lb)
1 Broccoli (head of)
1 Asparagus (bunch)
1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
Ginger, garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce to taste
How To Do It
Cut up the beef into thin strips, trimming off any excess fat.
Cut the broccoli and asparagus into bite sixed pieces, and wash thoroughly.
Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a wok, then put to one side.
On a high heat, stir fry the beef quickly, pushing it around so it evenly browns.
Put one teaspoon of garlic, and one teaspoon of ginger into the beef, and stir around.
Add the broccoli and asparagus.
Add about one tablespoon of soy sauce, and one tablespoon of oyster sauce. Mix it around for 1-2 minutes, then taste – add more of each to suit your taste.
Dish up, and sprinkle sesame seeds over the finished meals.
